We:
- collect state taxes (including duties, payroll, land and gambling taxes)
- conduct investigations and recover unpaid taxes
- administer the first home owner grant and Community Ambulance Cover
- provide revenue policy advice and legislative services to the government.
In 2007–08 we processed approximately $9.4 billion in revenue and grant transactions. Revenue collected is used to fund essential services for communities.
