We:
- collect state taxes (including duties, payroll tax, and land tax)
- collect mining and petroleum royalties
- provide education and support to registered self assessors
- conduct audits and recover unpaid taxes and royalties
- administer the first home owner grant
- provide revenue policy advice and legislative services to the government.
In 2010–11 we processed approximately $8.8 billion in revenue and grant transactions. Revenue collected is used to fund essential services for communities.
