More information about objections and appeals
Taxes and entitlements are set by legislation, and OSR must act according to those laws. If, however, you believe we have made an incorrect decision, you have the right to make an objection or an appeal.
We will:
- deal with your objection as quickly as possible
- deal with your objection in a fair and equitable manner
- carefully consider all your grounds of objection, and offer you the opportunity to explain further if appropriate
- decide if your objection should be allowed or disallowed and provide you with reasons for our decision
- explain your rights if you are not satisfied with the result of the objection
We can provide better service if you:
- listen to our explanations of our decisions, and ask us to explain further if there is something you do not understand
- make a reasonable attempt to follow the correct processes for objections, appeals and judicial reviews
