About the first home owner grant

The $7,000 first home owner grant was created to help you buy or build your first home. It is a federal initiative that is administered and funded by the state government.
You may also qualify for a transfer duty concession on your home.

Boost to FHOG
The Australian Government offered a boost to supplement the first home owner grant scheme.
The boost applies to contracts entered into between 14 October 2008 and 31 December 2009.
If you are buying or building a home worth $1M or more, you are no longer eligible for the grant.
