Once licensed, you will receive personalised claim forms with your licence and a bank details confirmation statement.
You may lodge a claim with the Office of State Revenue every three months for the BEU fuel that you used during that period.
The claim forms are bar-coded with your licence information to facilitate quick processing.
You only have 2 years to make a claim for the Subsidy from the time the BEU fuel was used.
These forms cannot be copied or shared with other BEUs.
Example:
Between 1 July and 30 September 2005, you have 10,000 litres of diesel delivered to your Queensland property into your storage tank. During that same time you also have 2,000 litres of petrol delivered to your Queensland property, where it is supplied into another storage tank. All of the fuel is purchased from a fuel distributor at the unsubsidised price.
During these three months, you or your 'associate' use 8,000 litres of diesel for an off-road purpose and the balance of the diesel for operating your diesel engine road vehicles on a public road.
You or your 'associate' also use 1,800 litres of petrol for operating your business equipment. All the fuel was delivered from your storage tanks in BEU quantities (2,000 litres or less) into the running tanks of your diesel engine road vehicles.
When lodging your claim form for this quarter, you may claim a Subsidy for 2,000 litres of diesel for your on-road usage and 1,800 litres for your petrol used operating your business equipment. As the fuel was first used on 1 July 2005, your claim must be received by the Office of State Revenue no later than 1 July 2007.
