eRevenue Queensland Issue 22, January 2010
Your training needs for 2010—Survey closing Monday 18
We are seeking the input of registered self assessors and payroll tax employers to identify their training needs for 2010.
Please complete our training needs survey. This should take less than 5 minutes. You have until 5pm on Monday, January 18, to have your say.
This information will be used to develop our client education programs and training schedule for the year ahead.
We look forward to your input.
Paying online safer than posting a cheque—Police
Are you still paying by cheque? In a statement addressing the issue of cheques being stolen from mailboxes, NSW police detective inspector Bob Monk stated that online banking was ‘far more secure’ than mailing a cheque.
A reminder for those concerned about security: OSRconnect uses 128-bit SSL encryption, which is verified by VeriSign. You can be confident that transactions conducted within OSRconnect are secure.
Updated eLearning
We have updated two eLearning tutorials on our website. Click the links below to view:
Passwords
For security reasons we are not able to reset or issue new passwords by email.
If your password is locked or will not allow you access to OSRconnect, phone our client contact centre on 1300 300 734 for assistance.
Correcting errors
If you detect an error in one of your returns after it has been submitted, you are required to advise us of the error as soon as possible.
Legislation prevents you resubmitting a return that has already been finalised. Changes to submitted returns can only be made by OSR.
And finally …
This is the final issue of eRevenue Queensland. We’ve listened to your feedback and, from this point on, will only be emailing you information specific to you. Watch this space! (Your inbox, that is …)
