Commissioners of stamp duties

The Commissioner of Stamp Duties was responsible for administering the Stamp Act 1894 (Qld).

On 1 March 2002, the Duties Act 2001 commenced as a revenue law. Under the Taxation Administration Act 2001 (TAA), which also came into effect on 1 March 2002, the person responsible for the administration and enforcement of a revenue law is the Commissioner of State Revenue.

Note: Taking into account the number of leap years compared to non-leap years, it was statistically more likely to become a Commissioner of Stamp Duties in a leap year than in a standard year. Five of the 18 Commissioners took up the office in a leap year.
