Awareness sessions for OSRconnect

We are holding awareness sessions introducing OSRconnect, our new online system for self assessment, over the next few weeks.

Our Brisbane sessions have now closed, however you can still register to attend a seminar in Sydney or Melbourne.

What is changing?

You will soon be able to complete and lodge interactive forms on our website. The interactive forms will only require you to enter information which is relevant to your specific circumstances. This will make it easier for you to complete and take less time for us to process the form.

You will also be able to change your contact details and registration status online.

Is your system compatible?

You will need to make sure that your system specifications meet certain requirements to be able to access OSRconnect.

2008/2009 Annual return requirements

There will be several changes to the way that you lodge your 2008/2009 annual payroll tax return.

• You do not need to lodge a June periodic return before completing your annual return. This is because Queensland has harmonised with other jurisdictions by merging the June periodic return with the annual return.
• You cannot lodge or pay online from 1–5 July 2009, as our online lodgement facilities (including electronic lodgement and payment of the 2008/2009 annual return) will not be available.
• You will need to lodge your annual return using our new online system, OSRconnect. This system will be available from 6 July 2009.

Getting ready for OSRconnect

We will be sending you an information pack about our new system and the changes to your 2009 Annual return. These will be mailed from 15 June 2009.

We will send you a new password from 22 June 2009. This password will enable you to access OSRconnect from 6 July 2009.

You should continue to use your existing password for accessing our current online system up to and including 30 June 2009.

We will contact you again shortly to confirm that you have received your registration pack and that you are ready to use OSRconnect on 6 July 2009.
