eLearning simulation
The following simulation will show you how to:
- save a partially completed payroll tax return as a draft
- locate the saved return in the task overview
- re-open the saved draft return.
See background information for more information about this topic.
The simulation will open in a new window and play back automatically. However, you can pause, fast forward, or rewind the simulation at any time. The image below shows you how.

Saving and re-opening a payroll tax return
Background information
Payroll tax returns are lodged monthly, unless you are approved for a different lodging period.
The annual return includes the figures for the last period up to and including June (a separate June return is no longer lodged).
You must still lodge a 'nil' return for periods where you do not have a payroll tax liability.
