The new OSR site has been designed to Consistent User Experience standards for ease of use.
Printing and emailing
All pages on the website are automatically print-compatible and can be printed directly from your browser.
A print icon appears in all pages containing text, at the top right corner above the text. Text pages can also be emailed—the icon for emailing a page is next to the print icon.
Site organisation
The design of the site is based on a common look and feel for all Queensland Government websites.
The site map displays the site's organisation.
Primary navigation
The horizontal navigation under the OSR banner and tabs directs you to the relevant areas of the site. These include:
- About us
- Duties
- Land tax
- Payroll tax
- First home owner grant
- Fuel Subsidy Scheme
- Legislation & Rulings
- Historical library
- News.
Each section contains related information. To access the information, click on the relevant link.
Secondary navigation
Secondary navigation options, related to the topic you are browsing, appear on the left hand side of the page. Some options can be expanded to show a list of related menu options. To display the menu options, click on the small grey triangle to the right of the navigation item. To hide the menu options, click on the grey triangle again.
Call centre questions also include expanding content options, which are activated when you click on the small '+' sign next to the relevant question or by selecting the question itself. When the question is expanded the '+' will change to a '–'. Clicking the '–' will close or deselect the question.
Search
The Search tab allows you to do a general search across all web pages and documents. To use, type a few words or phrases in the provided text area and select the 'Search' button. The search will return all results that match your query across all web pages and documents on the website. The more specific your search text, the more likely it is that you will find what you are looking for.
File views and downloads
Information on the OSR website is provided in a number of formats, including Flash and Portable Document Format (PDF).

To view Flash files, you will need the Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. Download the free Flash Player from the Adobe website.
